IMPORTING TO THE US

Importing Inventory to a US Warehouse: What Sellers Need to Know

Getting inventory from a factory abroad onto a US warehouse shelf takes four players: a freight forwarder, a customs broker, an importer of record, and a warehouse that receives what lands. Here is how the chain works, what to prepare, and exactly where we pick it up.

Same business day shipping99.8% shipping accuracyNo contracts

How the import chain works

A freight forwarder books the ocean or air shipment and moves your cargo to a US port
A licensed customs broker files the entry and clears your goods through US customs
Every shipment has an importer of record, responsible for duties and compliance. With the right registration it can be you, even without a US company
Duties and taxes depend on product classification and country of origin, and your broker calculates them
We do not run freight or customs ourselves. Experienced specialists do that better, and we refer you to the right kind of partner
Our work starts the moment cargo lands: from the port to our California or Florida warehouse, the last leg is a short truck ride

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle international shipping or customs clearance?
No. Freight and customs need experienced specialists, and we refer you to the right kind of partner. Our work starts the moment your goods land at the warehouse, and from there receiving happens the same day.
Can I import to the US without a US company?
Yes. A foreign business can act as the importer of record through the proper registration, which your customs broker arranges. We open fulfillment accounts for international sellers either way, with or without a US entity.
What details does my freight forwarder need from you?
The warehouse delivery address, receiving hours, and your packing list shared with us in advance. We provide all of it when you open an account, for California, Florida, or both.
How fast can I sell after the container arrives?
Receiving is $0.15 per unit and happens the day your cargo arrives: unloaded, counted against the packing list, and live in your dashboard. Most sellers can start selling the same day.
