SHOPIFY PAYMENTS VERIFICATION

Shopify Payments Verification When Your Inventory Is at a 3PL

Shopify Payments periodically reviews sellers to confirm the business behind the store is real. When your inventory sits at a fulfillment partner instead of your garage, proving it exists is the step that trips sellers up. Here is what Shopify asks for, why sellers get stuck, and the records an active fulfillment client can request from us.

Same business day shipping99.8% shipping accuracyNo contracts

The documents Shopify typically asks for

Government issued photo ID of the account owner, photographed in color with all edges visible
Proof of the representative's personal home address, dated within the last three months
Business documents that match the details entered in the Shopify Payments account, word for word
Proof of inventory: dated supplier invoices outlining quantities, or a dated manufacturing or fulfillment agreement
Shipping information: recent tracking numbers that show orders actually leaving a real warehouse
In a risk review, everything is usually due within about seven days, or payouts can be paused

Why sellers with a 3PL get stuck

COMMON BLOCKERS
Documents not in the account owner's nameRejected
No paper trail connecting the warehouse to the sellerFlagged
Virtual office address as proof of addressRefused
Screenshots or edited files instead of originalsSent back

The pattern behind almost every rejection is the same: the paperwork does not match the account details, or the inventory story has no records behind it.

Frequently asked questions

Can ShipByClick provide documents for Shopify Payments verification?
Yes, for active clients. We provide records in your name: a fulfillment service agreement listing our warehouse address, invoices, receiving records, and shipping records. We have done this for existing clients. Your ID, personal address, and company papers remain on your side.
Does Shopify accept a fulfillment agreement as proof of inventory?
Shopify asks for dated supplier invoices with quantities or a dated agreement. A signed fulfillment agreement together with receiving records that show your inventory counted into the warehouse gives the review team a verifiable paper trail. The decision itself always belongs to Shopify.
Can I use the warehouse address as my proof of address?
No. Shopify asks for the representative's personal home address, and virtual or borrowed addresses are regularly refused. The warehouse address belongs in the fulfillment paperwork, not in your personal documents.
I do not have a US company. Can I still work with you?
Yes. We open accounts for international sellers without a US entity. Whether Shopify Payments is available to you depends on your own country and registration, which is a separate question from fulfillment.
