A removal order is how you get your own inventory back from Amazon's warehouses. Sellers file them for a few common reasons: long term storage fees on slow movers, units Amazon graded as unfulfillable after a customer return, stranded inventory tied to a closed or suppressed listing, overstock after a season, or a decision to move fulfillment away from FBA altogether.
Whatever the reason, the inventory shows up the same way: in batches, over days or weeks, in mixed cartons and envelopes, sometimes one unit per box. Someone has to open all of it, count it, sort it by SKU, and get it into inventory. That is the work the $0.85 per unit covers.
What "unfulfillable" usually means
Amazon marks a unit unfulfillable when it fails their standard for resale as new: an opened retail box, a damaged polybag, a missing insert, or a scuffed carton. Many of these units are the same product you shipped in, with cosmetic packaging damage. During sorting we flag units like these for you. If they need renewal work, such as a new polybag, repackaging, or a replacement insert, we quote it separately based on what the units actually need, and only if renewal is needed at all. Nothing is thrown away without your approval.

Removal order questions
Can a 3PL receive an Amazon removal order?
Yes. Once your account is open you get our receiving address. In Seller Central you create the removal order to that address, then set up a matching inbound in your client dashboard so we know what to expect.
How long does a removal take to arrive?
Amazon ships removals in batches as it releases them, often over one to three weeks. We receive each batch as it lands and reconcile the running total against your removal report.
What does the $0.85 per unit include?
Receiving the removal shipments, opening the cartons, counting and sorting by SKU, and entering the units into your inventory, for a removal with a single SKU. Each additional SKU in the same removal adds $0.50 per unit, because mixed removals take more sorting. There is a 100 unit monthly minimum.
Do you give discounts on large removals?
Yes. For large removal projects we quote a reduced per unit rate. Tell us the expected unit count and number of SKUs before the removal ships, and we confirm the price in writing in advance.
What if units need renewal?
Renewal is not a fixed fee. It depends on what the units need: a new polybag, repackaging, a replacement insert, or nothing at all. After sorting we tell you what we found and quote the work before we start.
Can the units go back to FBA?
Yes. We prepare the shipment to Amazon's requirements and send it on your inbound plan. FBA prep rates are on our price list, and shipping to Amazon is billed separately.
What happens to units that cannot be sold?
They are set aside and listed for you. You decide whether we ship them back to you, hold them, or dispose of them. Disposal is a separate charge that depends on the product, and we quote it before anything is destroyed.
Do I need a contract?
No. There is no contract and no monthly software fee. You can leave with 30 days notice, and your inventory is yours to take with you.
